The beginning of a revolution. Hopefully.

Hello, Phoenix. More precisely, hello Queer Phoenix.

I am here to set you all on fire. I want to get things moving.

Phoenix is the fifth most populous city in the entire country. San Francisco has the Castro. Chicago has Boystown. New York has Greenwich Village AND Chelsea. Phoenix has - what?

A handful of bars scattered throughout Phoenix and Scottsdale does not make for a sense of community that one can feel safe in. Everything else in Phoenix is moving with the times. So why is it's queer community decades behind?

There are a lot of things I want to do and talk about with this blog. I want to shed the light on all the things that aren't talked about in our community. The things we turn the other way to. The things that have the potential to destroy what little we have of a community.

I believe that acknowledging these things and talking about them openly and honestly is the first step. Big changes are coming, and I think its time for our voices to start being heard a little more. All of us need to be a part of revolutionizing the attitudes and flaws in our current community. We need to stop fearing each other and start ruffling a few feathers.

Are you ready?
